I understand that therapy requires an investment in yourself
Therapy is an investment that takes time, money, and energy. It requires you to show up and be real--even if you don't always feel like it. It involves taking therapy outside the office. Doing the work between sessions. But by making this commitment, you'll be provided with the space and freedom to experience healing and growth in ways that can profoundly change your life.
Picture becoming a better version of yourself. Starting to shed old habits and beliefs, and replacing them with ones you feel good about. Imagine breaking free of the things that hold you back and starting to live the life you wanted.
These changes are realistic. You're making a commitment to yourself to learn, heal, grow and change. With collaboration and commitment, there's no limits to what you can accomplish.
By making the decision to go to therapy, you’re ready to do what it takes to start feeling better.

The initial EMDR session works different than traditional therapy. It involves more in-depth history taking and assessment given that we're working with trauma. We also have to develop coping skills to help you handle emotional distress. From there, we develop a treatment plan.
Follow Up Sessions (60-75 minutes): $150-$175
These sessions focus on targeting and reprocessing the identified trauma or issue through the use of eye movements (bi-lateral stimulation in EMDR speak). The sessions are repeated until the intensity of the traumatic memory or issue has been significantly reduced and you feel safe and stable. Every case is different, but for a specific incident the average ranges from 6-12 sessions.
Forms of Payment Accepted
I accept cash, checks, all major debit/credit cards, and HSA account debit cards. The Client Portal conveniently stores your credit card information and bills after each session for a seamless transaction.
All appointment changes and cancellations require a 24-hour notice. Appointments are managed through the Client Portal giving you 24/7 access to scheduling and account info.
Cancellations outside the 24-hour window and no-shows are billed the full session rate.
I am a self-pay practice and do not accept insurance as a form of payment. I am considered an out-of-network provider.
If you have out of network benefits and choose to access them, I can provide you with the necessary paperwork to submit your claim for reimbursement.
Your session fee will be paid in full to me and I will give you the necessary documentation to submit to your insurance provider. They will reimburse you directly. Typically, out of network benefits cover between 50-80% of the session fee.
By choosing to opt-out of managed care, I'm able to offer my clients control and freedom in their therapeutic journey.
For your therapy sessions to be fully covered by your insurance company, you must choose one of their contracted providers. That therapist must then assign you a diagnosis. From there, they'll determine the type of treatment that should be used, and how many sessions you'e allowed. The insurance company also has the right to ask for access to your file at any time.
Plenty of my clients do not have a diagnosable condition. Instead, they're trying to sort out issues and improve their well-being. Given that therapy is supposed to be confidential, many clients don't feel comfortable with their session notes being shared and used to determine whether they meet the needs to continue receiving therapy by the insurance company's standards.

We meet for our initial therapy session and get started!
The first session will be a little longer so we can go through your intake paperwork and dig into your therapy needs and goals. Based on my observations, and your input, we'll create a plan and set some initial goals.
We'll meet weekly to work toward your goals. You'll begin to gain a stronger understanding of your thoughts and behaviors--and learn new ways to manage them. You'll engage in outside activities to support the work we do in session. We'll continually assess your progress to be sure we're on track.
Once you begin meeting your goals, we may decide to meet every other week.
