Therapy From Anywhere
The need for support is greater than ever. With all the changes in the way we live, online therapy has quickly become a viable option for those seeking help.
Maybe you want to start of get back into therapy, but you're not yet sold on the idea of online therapy. No worries-- it's a common concern. Clients adapt to remote therapy pretty quickly--and it definitely has it's perks. (No traffic is a big one.) And online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy.
Online therapy gives you the freedom and flexibility to get the support you need regardless of the current situation.
Questions about Online Therapy
How does online therapy work?
Once you schedule your therapy session, you'll receive a link that you will click to join the session. You can use your laptop or phone.
I always recommend that you have a decent pair or headphones or earbuds for privacy and optimal audio quality. It's also helpful to be sure that your signal is strong and that you are in a place where you feel comfortable and secure.
Are our sessions secure?
Yes. All sessions are HIPAA secure and never recorded. I use a platform developed for healthcare providers.
What kind of clients do you work with virtually?
I'm currently accepting clients 18 and older for online therapy. I accept teens 15-17 for virtual sessions on a case-by-case basis.
I work with clients who seek relief from anxiety and stress, depression, relationship issues, grief/loss, and trauma. You can read more about the way I treat each specialty under the How I Can Help tab at the top of the page.
Can I switch to in-person sessions later?
Some clients choose fully online, while others prefer a hybrid of online and in-person therapy depending on schedules and lifestyle. Either way, you can take comfort in knowing that you can continue to receive the benefits of therapy on a regular basis whether you're in-town or not.
How do I know if I'll like virtual therapy?
I offer a free virtual consultation so you can get an idea of what working together will be like.
