How does online therapy work?
Once you schedule your therapy session, you'll receive a link that you will click to join the session. You can use your laptop or phone. I always recommend that you have a decent pair or headphones or earbuds for privacy and optimal audio quality. It's also helpful to be sure that your signal is strong and that you are in a place where you feel comfortable and secure.
Are our sessions secure?
Yes. All sessions are HIPAA secure and never recorded. I use a platform developed for healthcare providers.
Can I switch to in-person sessions later?
Some clients choose fully online, while others prefer a hybrid of online and in-person therapy depending on schedules and lifestyle. Either way, you can take comfort in knowing that you can continue to receive the benefits of therapy on a regular basis whether you're in-town or not.
